Big Picture: The Big Red One

A salute to the 1st Infantry Division "The Big Red One." This division participated in eight campaigns and three invasions during World War II. Combat operations during these engagements are featured, showing attacks and counterattacks on foot; in trucks and assault boats through heat, dust, cold, snow and water. Colonel Quinn explains the Combat Infantry Badge, its history and what is required of the individual combat infantryman in order that he may wear the badge.
